Chinese New Year is based on chinese calendar having cycle of twelve years, each of them named after an animal. These different animals describe traits of success and failure of a person's lifetime. 2007 was the year of pig, 2008 was the year of rat and 2009 is the year of ox. We have tried to put forward chart of the chinese new year calendar describing various animals of different years.
